Next Level Leadership

Your Managers Were Promoted for Doing the Work. Nobody Showed Them How to Win at the New Job.

Next Level Leadership is an 8-week virtual training program for new and developing managers. They learn to own their results, hold their people accountable, plan their priorities, handle hard conversations, and solve problems at their level. A 3-month coaching phase follows, where a coach works with them on real situations until the new habits hold.

You Promoted Them to Lead

You're Still Doing the Leading

Most managers in a growing business were never trained to manage. They were promoted because they were good at the work. Then the job changed. Nobody showed them how to do the new one.

They know how to produce. They don't yet know how to get production through other people.

So a hard decision comes up and it reaches you. Someone on the team has a problem and you get pulled in. Priorities get fuzzy and everyone looks at you.

Adding managers doesn't create leaders. Developing them does.

The Goal Isn't More Management

It's More Effective Leadership

Most new managers still spend their day doing the work themselves. Next Level Leadership moves them out of that and into leading and managing, one week at a time.

Week 1

The Shift

Doing the work → Getting the work done through people.

Week 2

The FOCUS System

Reacting to the day → Running priorities on a plan.

Week 3

The Performance Principles

Relying on effort → Setting up the conditions that drive results.

Week 4

The Being of a Leader

Reacting under pressure → Choosing how they show up.

Week 5

Communication and Messaging

Avoiding hard conversations → Saying what needs to be said, clearly.

Week 6

Agreements and Monkey Management

Bringing problems up → Solving them at their level.

Week 7

Accountability and Momentum

Hoping for follow-through → Holding accountability with scorecards and meetings.

Week 8

The Operating System

Depending on you → Presenting their own operating system to you.

Every module comes with fieldwork. Participants apply it to their own team, decisions, and conversations that week.

A course gives your managers information. This program has them use it on the job, every week.

What Changes for You

People do what they said they'd do

Managers set clear agreements, track them on scorecards, and address breakdowns directly.

Priorities stop shifting every day

Every manager runs a

weekly and monthly planning rhythm.

Hard conversations happen early

Managers address problems while they're small, not after they reach you.

You see exactly what they own

In Week 8, each manager walks you through how they'll run their area.

They get a coach, so you don't have to be one

You step out of the coach and trainer role and get that time back for higher value work.

Is This Right for Your Team?

This is built for you if:

  • Your managers were promoted because they were good at the work.

  • Decisions and problems still route back to you.

  • Your managers work hard but don't hold their people accountable.

  • You’re about to promote someone and want them ready before they start.

  • You don't have the time or the internal team to train leaders yourself.

This is not for you if:

  • You want a one-day workshop.

  • You won't make time for 3 to 4 short checkpoint meetings.

  • Your manager isn't open to being coached.

If your business has grown faster than your leadership bench, this program closes the gap.

How the Program Runs

Phase 1: core training, weeks 1 to 8

Weekly modules. One live 60 to 75 minute session per week. Week 1 starts with real content, not orientation. The schedule can stretch to every 10 to 14 days during a heavy stretch.

The Next Level Field Manual. Each module comes with fieldwork applied to the manager's own team and decisions that week.

Owner checkpoints. 3 to 4 meetings with you, 30 minutes each. In Week 3 we review progress together. In Week 8 your manager presents their operating system to you.

Flex coaching. Two 30-minute 1-on-1 sessions for whatever comes up.

Phase 2: coaching, three months

Six coaching sessions, every other week, working through whatever their team is actually throwing at them. This is where the training turns into habit. Sessions run as a small group when other managers are in the same phase, and 1-on-1 when they aren't. It ends at their first quarterly calibration.

Wexley and Latham found that about 40% of what people learn in training is still being applied right after it ends. After six months, 25%. After a year, 15%. Phase 2 is how this program avoids that.

Two Ways to Enroll

Full program

8 weeks of core training, then 3 months of coaching. For managers who need to lead differently for good, not just for 8 weeks.

Core training

8 weeks of core training, including owner checkpoints and flex coaching. For teams that will reinforce the skills internally.

Team pricing applies when 2 or more managers enroll. We'll go through the full investment on your call.

Every Problem Your Managers Can't Handle Becomes Yours

Right now, you're the backstop. Every decision a manager won't make comes back to you. Every conversation they avoid. Every problem they can't solve.

That costs you hours every week. It costs a lot more when an untrained manager burns out or leaves.

Gallup estimates replacing an employee costs 50% to 200% of their annual salary. For a manager earning $90,000, that's $45,000 to $180,000.

Developing the manager you already have costs a fraction of that.

When your managers own more, you get your time back for the work only the owner can do.

Meet Troy Henson

For 26 years, Troy Henson has worked with owner-driven businesses. He sees the same pattern again and again. The company grows. The team grows. Managers get added. And the decisions, problems, and hard conversations still route back to the owner.

Most of those managers aren't the problem. They were never trained for the job they were given.

Troy built Next Level Leadership to fix that. It combines research-backed frameworks, weekly fieldwork on the manager’s real job, and the owner in the loop. What managers learn shows up in how they run their area.

Troy is the President of EVOC, where he helps owner-driven businesses stop being the bottleneck in their own company.
